The KBio Sciences COVID-1 9 Ag Rapid Test Kit for in vitro diagnostic use only (Nasopharyngeal) is a rapid qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 based on the principle of a lateral flow immunoassay.
The test is intended for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigen in nasopharyngeal swab specimens directly collected from suspected COVID-19 individuals by professional healthcare providers within the first seven days of the symptom’s onset or without COVID-19 symptoms. The KBio Sciences COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test Kit aims for in vitro SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics only and is intended for professional use.
Positive results indicate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 antigens in the specimens. To ensure the accuracy of the result, real time RT-PCR should be performed further as a confirmatory test. Negative results indicate no SARS-CoV-2 antigen presence in the specimens. Negative results do not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection. The patient’s history, exposure period, time of infection, the presence of clinical signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should also be considered.

Performance
Step 1
Allow test cassette, specimen, buffer and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15°C ~ 30°C) before testing.
Step 2
Remove the test cassette from the sealed foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. Testing must be performed within 1 hour of opening the test kit pouch.
Step 3
Make sure the device is placed on a clean and flat surface.
